Colin Mochrie is very good

image 1: "Happy birthday to my lovely daughter. 28 years old and everything we've ever hoped for in a child."

image 2: "Thanks to the fans of this page for being supportive and human. To the trolls, my thoughts and prayers to your body for losing it's mind and soul so tragically."

Re-drafted to include captions to the image, I'm sorry for not doing that before.

"The world's unfair, kiddo" is not an argument for "then allow unfairness", but instead is an argument for "Then make the world *FAIR*"

Tom Waits has a new song out, it's a cover of an Italian Anti Fascist song youtu.be/50GvkAO0OIg

It is hard for me to overstate this. My very favorite band of all time who has tried to stay apolitical since 1985 has released a song yesterday, on September the Eleventh, 2018, and it is, well, a good song.

hello new followers! here is my ask:
Please find some way to create effective change in your neck of the woods. find (or found!) a local advocacy org you agree with, and start showing up to meetings, either irl or online. if you live in the twin cities, or the sf bay area, I can give you some pointers. if not: google can!
make your cities better, cleaner, and greener: there's a million ways to do it, and your help is needed. you are needed! pitch in.

Holy crap. Okay, so first: I just read a Medium post about this Wayback Importer project on Glitch

@adam Have you tried out X2GO? wiki.x2go.org/doku.php I quite like it to be able to log in and suspend and come back to remote X sessions.

@adam I use tigervnc only listening on localhost and ssh in with ports forwarded. I feel like the performance is decent, but it would be nice to have a better solution.

The biggest mistake "cyberpunks" made was that we'd all look like cyberpunks.

@adam I've wanted RDP on Linux for years. It's such a good protocol, you have to wonder how it came from MicroSoft... Because it didn't - the core of it came from a strongarm deal they made with Citrix...

I'm excited to one day use but I really hope remote desktop solutions get massively better on ... XRDP is neat but still so complicated just to get into an existing session; X11VNC is good but I still have issues with characters repeating crashing it.

I keep falling back to TeamViewer!

When I need to get into my computers at home, I reall just use RDP to my one Windows 10 machine, because it's so reliable and works ... and then just use Windows, or teamviewer from there into linux if needed. VNC for my one low-power gui box I don't want to put teamviewer on.

I would kill for Windows-style RDP on linux that
